During the Slippery Slope HOH competition, it came down to Johnny and Paras. Johnny promised Paras safety, and she dropped. Johnny became this week’s HOH. He had to name 2 Have Nots, and he picked Kaela and Derek.
When the feeds came back on Thursday night after the HOH, Kaela and Derek were in the HOH room talking to Johnny. They acted like they orchestrated him staying, and Kaela asked him to call a house meeting because she had a lot of things to confront people about. Boom go the fireworks.
Kaela called out Paras for being the 3rd person with each duo and for having the same spiel to everyone in the house. (I’m alone without you, don’t know what I’d do without you in this game, etc.) Kaela called out the alliances she was in with Paras—The Real Deal and 86 with her, Maddy and Daela formed during Derek’s HOH. She said that Paras told her that Johnny and Maddy were saying that they were targeting Daela during Kaela’s HOH. Paras exploded on Kaela, saying that she told her that the ringleader was Ryan. She said that she kept Maddy off the block with what she said, so it wouldn’t make sense for Kaela to have not nominated Maddy if she said that about Maddy and Johnny. Kaela blew up Paras’ game, and Paras has said that she has to do some repairs on live feeds.
Then, Kaela moved on to Ali and Liv, saying that they were bringing info back to them about Erica and Johnny wanting to target her and Derek. Ali shut them down and said that they could talk about it together later with Johnny. Once they talked to him later, Johnny was surprised that Ali and Liv turned on him and Erica since they were supposed to be in a final 4 alliance together. Ali rephrased what Kaela was telling Johnny in that she was bringing back ‘bed crumbs’ to Daela because the 4 of them have established trust and are working together. The 4 of them said Johnny could work with them to get to final 5. Olivia later told Johnny that she understands that he doesn’t want to go to final 5 with 2 duos; Olivia doesn’t want to either.
Johnny talked with Paras later, and she said that Kaela was threatened by her social game. Kaela even told Johnny that she would vote for Paras if she made it to Final 2 based on her social game alone. Because Johnny promised safety to Paras in front of the whole house, even if he sees through her bullshit, he isn’t going to put her on the block this week. Plus, that would destroy the Final 4 he supposedly has with Will, Maddy and Paras. What he doesn’t know is that Paras isn’t planning to keep him if he is on the block after the veto during the triple. She thinks that he has a good chance of winning the veto during the triple, though so she thinks she would have to backdoor him.
Even though Paras, Maddy and Will kept Johnny to go after Daela, Paras tried to make nice with Kaela after their huge fight. Both are being stubborn in their positions but say that they don’t think it’s good for their games to be at each other’s throats.
No surprise after the Friday night brawl, Johnny nominates Kaela and Derek. Johnny has a good conversation with Kaela telling her that she should win the veto or that anyone except Derek could win the veto, and she would most likely stay. Derek is his target this week. Everyone thinks that he is the bigger threat of the 2 because Kaela is just a straight up liar.
For the POV competition, the houseguests were shown photos from the season and had to go down a slide to race to put them in the correct order of when they occurred during the season. Maddy was a sure shot to win this because she studies so much, but in the end, Derek cheated off of her answers and beat her down the slide to win the POV, which blows up Johnny’s HOH. Now, Derek is seen as the comp beast because he’s won 3 comps in only 2 weeks, verses Johnny’s 5 since the beginning of the game.
Now, comes the tricky part; Johnny has to name a replacement nominee. He hopes that Derek will use the veto on Kaela to be her night in shining armor, but since she is his TV beard, he uses it on himself. While she argued to stay off the block, Johnny names Ali as the replacement nominee so that the foursome will become a threesome. Ali apparently went off on Johnny in the middle of his POV speech, and he made some snappy comment. Later in the day, she apologized to him.
While Maddy and Will are ready to send Kaela packing, Paras is wavering. She tells them both that they know what they are doing this week, but they should keep both nominees in the dark all week and listen to their pitches so that they get good information from them. She is hoping someone says something to one of them that makes them want to keep Kaela. What was the point of keeping Johnny, then?
