This leg of the Amazing Race began with a challenge called Horse Drawn Carriages. Teams must deliver hay to the storage area of a stable, then take a horse drawn carriage into town where they will feed their horse and find a Ford Fiesta. All teams except Double T, mother/daughter and the scientists take taxis, which is wise because the task is 10 kilometers away from the pit start. This leg of The Amazing Race began with the 8 remaining teams learning that their next destination is Marrakech, Morocco. The cyclists discover that the fastest flight to Morocco will depart at 8:25 am, so all of the teams will be caught up to them. In a cab, Shelley & Nici say that they have reconciled after their disastrous argument at the end of the last leg. This episode of The Amazing Race began with teams learning that they will be traveling to Copenhagen, Denmark! They need to take a 13 hour ferry back to Aberdeen, Scotland and then catch a flight to Copenhagen. Obviously, the dentists’ one hour lead will be moot because all the teams will be caught up due to this long ferry ride. This episode of The Amazing Race starts at 12:00am, with Bethany & Adam learning that they will be traveling to Shetland, Scotland. Teams have to take a train to Aberdeen, then drive aboard a ferry to the Shetland Islands. Once on the island, they need to drive to the Royal National Lifeboat Institute and find a puffin to receive their next clue. The teams discover that the next train is at 6am, so they will all be caught up. Last week’s episode ended with an unknown beast entering the camp, presumably having tracked the Queen via her pendant. This episode begins with the Paladins sitting around the campsite in the morning, so whatever beast visited last night seems to have left as quietly as it came. The end of the previous episode left us wondering what beast is near the campground – could it be something sent by Verlox?
