As it said on the CBS banner all day Thursday, the HOH competition was to be live streamed beginning at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST. The feed was delayed for 15 minutes. It turns out the reason for that is that Cody and Jessica were going off on Josh. Josh is starting to come around to being a better houseguest with coaching from Christmas and Paul. He’s joking with other houseguests, has stopped being super paranoid and is interacting with everyone (minus Cody and Jessica).
When the feeds came on, Paul was taking the majority of turns with all the showmances and Christmas giving him their tickets. He came up with a plan prior to HOH which he shared with them about using 2 pawns to backdoor Cody. Every single person in the house wants him out. As people took their turns, Kevin almost landed in the heart, but the ball bounced out. Eventually, Paul won HOH. This led to Cody and Jessica being extremely poor sports. The feeds were cut while the houseguests were heading inside, but the audio wasn’t. Production could be heard saying that getting in each other’s faces was unnecessary. I think that was why the feeds were delayed. Cody and Jessica acted like hot heads. And it didn’t stop there.
Since Cody and Jessica could no longer isolate themselves from everyone in the HOH room, they moved into the Have Not room and have isolated themselves in there. Jody headed right back into the Have Not room after the comp, and Jessica cried. Josh came in to try to squash their beef, and Cody aggressively yelled at him to “Get the fuck out of here.” All of Josh’s clothes are in that room, so he had to go back in a little while later to get clothes. Jessica exploded on him again, saying horrible things. See you next Tuesday level. She told him he is a joke, that no one likes him, everyone makes fun of him, that he is making a fool of himself and that his family is going to be ashamed of him. It was horrendous and cut him to his core. Josh got his clothes, left the room, went to the bathroom and started crying. Dominique, Raven, Mark and Matt were in there and all of them gave him their support, calmed him down and let him know how to handle her.
Kevin throwing the hinky vote to Christmas when he’d promised to keep Jillian caused some drama because people are blaming Ramses and Josh for voting out Jillian. (Kevin promised both noms his vote.) He’s maintaining he voted out Christmas with Alex and Jason and that he voted out Jillian with everyone else. Alex and Jason are particularly convinced Ramses voted out Jillian. Kevin was very heated after the HOH after supposedly hearing that Ramses called him a snake. He’s riding the middle, and playing the manipulation game very well.
Observation—Kevin knows more about this game than he is letting on. HOV (what he calls HOH), my ass. He’s playing all these fools, us and Production, which is how you win Big Brother. He’s very intelligent, and there is more to his back story than he’s let us know. How does a “Stay at Home Father” have only a 17-year-old at home and the rest are grown and out of the house? He often tells stories, which are hilariously entertaining, but he also throws out bits of trivia and information that show that he is probably further educated than his supposed high school diploma. I think he’s lying about his occupation and background. He and his wife didn’t raise 7 kids on his wife’s nurse salary. Just saying. Keep your eye on him.
Back to the spoilers:
After the HOH comp, when Paul laid out his plans for putting up 2 pawns to backdoor Cody, the group pushed back against his initial idea of putting up Matt and Elena as pawns. They said that he needed to convince Alex and Josh to do it instead. Paul agreed that he didn’t want to risk losing any of them. He spoke with Alex, and they are working with each other on the down-low. She agrees to be a pawn. Then, he follows up with Josh, explaining to him that this is his shot to get back at Cody and Jessica in the game. He made sure that Josh and Alex knew that everyone is on-board to take out Cody, and that each person will personally assure them that they won’t vote them out, will play for them in veto and as the cherry on top, Paul knows that Ramses must nominate himself due to the curse. That means that only 2 additional players will be chosen at the veto draw, mitigating the likelihood of Cody or Jessica playing in the veto.
Christmas received the Ring of Replacement temptation, which allows her to substitute herself for another houseguest playing in an upcoming veto competition. This means that even if Cody or Jessica were drawn at the veto meeting, she could substitute herself. She kept the info from everyone except Paul. She also got to choose 3 houseguests to curse: Cody, Jessica and Jason. The 3 are V-Toads that must wear frog costumes and hop everywhere for the next week. They also must sit on lily pads throughout the house.
Paul had to name 4 Have Nots. Jessica, Cody, Jason and Matt are on slop and spiked beds. Jason started losing it about an hour into slop, so Whistle Nut tried the Have Not temptation, and got the Have Not Extension, so he’s a Have Not for the next 14 days. Since he’s now in the room with Cody and Jessica and they’re all dressed as frogs together, Jason has been spending too much time with them, raising the concerns of the rest of the houseguests. Jason talks too much, spilling any info that comes his way to the wrong people. He is not a good gamer. Even Alex has grown wary of him. He doesn’t understand Big Brother, has barely watched 2 seasons and is a clear recruit. He said that he did the show for better opportunities afterwards. He was talking to Cody in the kitchen about a possible Battle Back competition that could bring him back into the game if he’s voted out this week. Matt overheard this, and Jason is on now people’s radars.
Friday night, Dominique started having a very strange conversation with Mark. She told him that she had 2 dreams from God about going into the Big Brother house and about finding a showmance that will turn into a deep connection. She let him know that she likes him and spoke with him about his relationship with Elena. She was telling him that she is a better woman for him than Elena. Mark was uncomfortable, and it was a weird conversation. Up until then, Dominique said she saw Mark as her brother and knew they were going to be friends after the show. Now, it’s clear that she is thirsty for a man, and she is on the show to gain fame and wants to be the next Oprah with her mock talk shows. Rolling my eyes at this freaking recruit.
For the POV comp, the players are Paul, Alex, Josh, Ramses, Matt and Elena. The comp was based on traveling thru airport terminals and arriving at destinations with questions. If they got the question wrong they had to take a delay in this timed comp. Ramses was told the plan to backdoor Cody, and everyone told him to max out his time. That’s not what he did. In fact, he placed second in the comp, but Paul won and can execute his backdoor plan flawlessly.
Everyone is pissed at Ramses for not maxing out his time. It would’ve screwed over the whole house, and no one trusts him. Kevin’s hinky vote to save Christmas is being blamed on Ramses. Based upon his shady behavior, Paul feels he must use the veto on Josh to keep Cody from formulating any way of staying in the house, which Alex is cool with because she’s had a decent relationship with Cody. Ramses told Jessica in the shower that he would try to win the veto so that Cody wouldn’t be backdoored.
Jessica came to Paul after the POV ceremony, saying that she wanted to have a personal conversation with him, not game related. She played the victim. She asked Paul how she should proceed in the game. Paul said he doesn’t know, but isolating herself with Cody hasn’t helped her situation. Jessica shared that Ramses was trying to win veto with Paul.
At the Veto Ceremony, Josh unloaded on Cody in his speech. Paul saved Josh with the POV, and Cody will be evicted on Thursday. Thursday can’t come fast enough. Cody might be the worst person ever cast on Big Brother, and let’s face it, there have been some major douchebags. Cody is downright sociopathic, and he is going to face serious backlash when he is out of the house. If there is a buy back this season, Cody shouldn’t be an option. He literally said on feeds 7/10/17 11:52 a.m. that he is going to tell everyone when he gets out of the house that Josh sexual predator to the female houseguests. Jessica told him that it wasn’t a bad idea. WTF? Who does that? These 2 have been talking about their fan bases, as if either of them have one. Who is a fan of dumpster fires filled with shit?
Update on #ChristmasBreak: she is having major surgery Wednesday to have springs and pins inserted into her foot. The feeds were interrupted for her to make the announcement to the houseguests. She is going to have to spend the night at the hospital but is expected back Thursday in time for Cody’s eviction. During the time that the houseguests were gathered in the living room for the announcement, Cody left to go back outside. The other houseguests were supportive and are glad that she is tough enough to continue in the game. Jessica then asked to speak to Christmas afterwards. Flashback to Monday at 6:14 p.m. for the conversation. She called Christmas a mean girl. Um, no. You need to look in the mirror to see one of those, Jessica.
