The Amazing Race 26 contestant Jeff Weldon didn’t do so amazing on Big Brother, either! He became the third houseguest evicted Thursday night and Liz and Shelli became the new Heads of Household for week four! As the new Big Brother week begins, find out who they nominate for eviction and which of them will be dethroned… just keep reading!
Shelli and Liz are excited to be Heads of Household for the week. They are both in the Sixth Sense alliance so they will both be sitting pretty for another week. With this, Liz and Julia are one eviction closer to both being able to play the game. Audrey, meanwhile, is excited that she is making a “comeback” because Liz and Shelli are not gunning for her. Jackie makes an appearance on the show finally and hopes that Jeff’s actions in the game will not make her a target. Don’t worry, Jackie… furniture isn’t eligible for nomination!
Steve is alone in the comic book room calling himself an idiot for getting the first question wrong in the HOH competition. He tells the camera that he didn’t throw the competition, because he would’ve “thrown it much smarter than that” by getting at least the first question right. He was GOING to throw it, but lost before he got a chance to throw it. LOL! Meanwhile, Jason is pissed that he’s in danger again because the powers each week keep throwing the same people on the block. I have to say I’m getting a little fed up of this as well.
It’s time to reveal Shelli’s and Liz’s HOH rooms. Shelli is excited to get pictures of her dog this time around. She even gets an HOH letter “written” by her dog as well. This is a first for Big Brother, and this was just really awkward to watch. Liz gets pictures from home, but of course none of them feature her twin sister, Julia. John feels that Liz’s letter from home “lacked heartfelt emotional content directed at one person,” meaning it was just a generic letter that really was meant for both Liz and Julia. Nothing gets by this one, does it?
Shelli, Clay, Liz and Austin meet in the HOH room to discuss game. Shelli says that the house is nervous because it’s almost week five and they know that the other twin should be about to enter the game, which makes Liz a huge target for next week. They need to protect her next week to ensure that Julia makes it into the game. They need to get either Jason, Meg or James out this week as they are not members of the alliance and are a threat to them. The biggest target will be Jason since he knows about the twin twist without a doubt and is gunning after Liz.
We get a segment of Steve ironing his shirt in the storage room and struggling to fold the ironing board afterwards. With him being the token nerd, I figure he would get the really smart edit this year but the editors really must hate him because they make him out to be one of the biggest goofballs of the season. Of course, I shouldn’t be surprised as he really doesn’t do anything in the way of game.
Jackie confides in Shelli that Austin told her that Liz may be putting her on the block this week. This is cause for concern for the Sixth Sense as some of their sensitive information could be getting back to the other houseguests. Shelli tells Vanessa that they need to keep a close eye on Austin as he could be leaking information. They need to be careful what they say around him because he cannot be trusted 100%.
Once again, Clay tells Shelli that she needs to put up Johnny Mac as a pawn this week to keep from getting too much blood on her hands. I swear, this house is the biggest bunch of pussies when it comes to not wanting to ruffle too many feathers. Clay goes downstairs to talk to John about this and get his “blessing.” Clay says that they want Jason gone so they need to have him throw the Battle of the Block, once again. This makes it FOUR WEEKS in a row that John is being used as a pawn. He is starting to attain #PermaPawn status and he really needs to quit letting this happen as his luck will eventually run out and he will go home for it! Meanwhile, Audrey has a convo with Shelli and says that Jason has been throwing her name around and could be a threat to Shelli’s game. Of course, Jason is already a target in Shelli’s eyes, but Audrey is just doing whatever she can to ensure she is not the target this week.
It is now time for the nomination ceremony. The houseguests gather around the table to find out whether they are safe for now. Liz is first and she nominates James and Jackie for eviction. She says that she hasn’t made as big of a connection with them as she has with the others and doesn’t know where they stand. Shelli nominates Jason and John, to no surprise. She tells John that she is nominating him again because it is easiest for her to do, and she tells Jason that she doesn’t trust him because she’s heard that he’s been saying stuff about her. Jason knows what’s up here. He knows that he is the real target and he is not happy about, as evidenced by his face when nominations are revealed.
It is now time for the Battle of the Block competition! Everyone walks into the backyard to discover yet another ’90s themed set, in keeping with this week’s throwback twist. This one is just full of punny names in reference to music that was popular from 1990-1999. In “Grunge-BOB,” the nominees must make their way through the mud honey and retrieve a key from one of the four grunge zones, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees and Soundgarden! Each key they find will be used to unlock one of the padlocks from Alice in Chains. Once all four locks are removed, the nominees must rescue Alice in Chains and take her to Nirvana. Jason realizes that he must win this BOB in order to keep himself safe for the week, otherwise he may be going home. John decides that he needs to WIN this comp, for once since he’s been throwing them week after week. Jason and John get off to a good start after immediately finding a key sitting there in the Screaming Trees section. James and Jackie start to catch up and this competition actually gets pretty close! James and Jackie find their four keys to unlock Alice and John and Jason are right behind! Unfortunately, Jason and John aren’t quick enough and James and Jackie win the Battle of the Block! Even though John didn’t try to throw this competition, he still lost! How’s that for cruel irony? John and Jason remain nominated for eviction and Liz is dethroned as Head of Household. As punishment, the three must form a band called the “Wackstreet Boys.” Whenever the pager goes off, they must get together and perform!
