John and Jason remain on the block after losing the Battle of the Block competition. This is the worst case scenario as they are both fan favorites! But there is one last shot for one of them to be spared from eviction night with the Power of Veto competition. Will one of them be saved? Read on to find out more!
The episode begins right after the Battle of the Block. Shelli is excited that, once again, she is the sole HOH for the week. She mentions that Jason was her initial target for the week but her mind is starting to change already about getting him out this week. Julia (Liz) was dethroned but she’s not concerned at all because she’s sure that Shelli will keep the sisters safe this week. Jason is upset that he is still on the block and could be going home and back to his home in momma’s basement, but he’s gonna fight for the veto to save himself.
Meanwhile, Audrey blabs to James that she is pissed off at Shelli for throwing her under the bus to Jason. She says that Shelli and Clay are dumb to think that other people won’t target them and they need Audrey on their side. I find it personally hilarious that Audrey is pissed off about this yet she’s been lying and backstabbing left and right for nearly a month! James tells Shelli and Clay about this convo and says that Audrey wants the duo separated. Clay confronts Audrey and asks why she’s being all weird and she tries to play victim and complain about how she’s all alone in this game, blah blah blah. She’s basically not doing herself any favors here by whining to Clay.
As the losers of the Battle of the Block competition, John, Jason and Liz are forced to become a boy band called the “Wackstreet Boys.” Every time their pager goes off, they have to perform together for the house. It’s pretty cheesy, but how cute is John in his wife beater? Although the white does him no favors… boy needs a TAN!
It is now time to pick players for the veto competition. The HOH, two nominees and three others will play. Shelli draws Vanessa’s chip so she will be playing. John draws Meg’s chip and Jason draws the houseguest choice chip, so he chooses James to play in the veto comp. Jason is happy at the group of people who will be playing because his chances are pretty good at being pulled off the block. Shelli is glad that Audrey will not be playing in the competition so her plan to backdoor her is still in motion. Most of the veto players meet upstairs in the HOH room and decide that the whole house is united in the battle to get Audrey out.
It’s time for the veto competition! The houseguests walk outside to the backyard to see that they are in a science lab set up. In “Saved by the Smell,” the players are shown a sequence of colors on the screen that corresponds to the test tubes at their stations. They will then be quizzed and will have to pour the correct chemical into the flask. If they get it right, they move on to the next round, but if they get it wrong, it will blow up in their face (much like Audrey’s game!) and they will be eliminated. They all get the first round correct and move on. Vanessa’s strategy for the comp is to remember the first letter of each color. Meg’s strategy? She’s going to sing the colors. Oh, Meg… poor, silly, sweet Meg. James is eliminated from the competition and his flask blows up in his face! Shelli throws the third round and is depending on Vanessa to pull out the win. Meg is eliminated in the fourth round. John and Jason are both eliminated which means that Vanessa wins the Power of Veto!
Audrey comes outside to the backyard starting her paranoid drama with Clay and how she’s all alone in the game. Clay confronts her and says that Shelli (and he) trusted her and helped her out and that trust hasn’t been returned to them. CBS is really pushing the victim edit here with Audrey. They’re trying to make her look like she is so bullied and misunderstood by Clay and Shelli. Her selective memory also seems to be a huge problem because she can’t seem to recall asking Clay previously if she was a backdoor target. She just keeps digging that grave! The drama turns into a huge blowup in the HOH room between her, Clay, Vanessa and Shelli and this pretty much seals her fate for the week.
It’s time for the veto meeting, but someone is noticeably absent from the festivities. Vanessa announces to the group that Audrey has DECIDED not to participate, but it will continue as planned. That’s right, big baby Audrey CHOSE to not show up to a vital part of the Big Brother game. Vanessa decides to use the POV on Jason and he is removed from the block. Shelli names Audrey as the replacement nominee, so either Audrey or Johnny Mac will be evicted Thursday night!
