The longest week in the Big Brother game has finally come to an end. Jace became the first person evicted from the house, Shelli and Becky are the two new Heads of Household and the cycle begins again. They say the game doesn’t really start until after the first eviction, but this year they started playing the game hard from the first minute! Will this week be just as crazy? We’ll have to find out.
Becky and Shelli are excited to be the new Heads of Household. But you know who else is excited? Clay. That’s right, Shelli’s boy toy plaything is excited because he can use her to do his bidding. His first order of business seems to be targeting Da’Vonne after their falling out last week. He has a gut feeling that she doesn’t trust him or Shelli. Of course, that’s true. Day (whom I LOVE by the way), does a piss poor job at hiding the fact that she is unhappy that Shelli and Becky are the new HOHs.
Meanwhile, it appears that Audrey will be the biggest target this week. For all intents and purposes, she should be because she has been running around trying to manipulate the whole house the entire past week. Now, people are catching on to her BS and it’s about to go DOWN! Vanessa, Da’Vonne and Audrey are in the Have-Not room and all hell starts to break loose. Vanessa says that Audrey told her that Day told her that Vanessa is in an all-girl alliance. (Yeah, my head is spinning, too.) Day says she never said that and Audrey still tries to deny that she was involved. Now, it’s #GameOn as Day storms out and gathers up the rest of the house for the first house meeting! Once everyone is in the room together, the shit really hits the fan as Audrey’s scheming blows up in her face and everything is brought out into the open. After all this goes down and Audrey is now public enemy number one, she decides that she needs to lay low while her back is against the wall. Hey, Audrey! I’ve never played Big Brother before, but you should have been laying low the entire first week! Apparently you’re not as big of a fan of this show as you want us to think!
Becky (who apparently is a houseguest this season… crazy, right?) and Shelli meet to discuss their plans for nominations. The “elephant in the house” is Audrey of course, and they decide that they need to put up four pawns and send Audrey out the backdoor. That’s what Becky’s plan, anyway, and Shelli just plays along with it. Shelli’s real plan is to actually get Da’Vonne out this week. Becky wants to put Steve up as one of the pawns because of his tendency to just pop into rooms and linger. Becky holds individual meetings with houseguests in the storage room to gather information that she can use in her nomination decision. Shelli also holds meetings with the houseguests in the cabana room to help her in her decision as well. Since when do HOHs need the blessings of the other houseguests to make their nominations? I can’t understand that. It’s YOUR week in power, do what the hell YOU want to do!
Now it’s time for some laughs! Becky reveals a personal story to the other houseguests in the backyard. She tells them that she was hit by a train a year ago. Yes… a TRAIN! She was out walking at 6:00 AM and it was dark outside and she had her hood up and she walked in front of a van, poked her head around the corner and BAM! A train hit her in the face! It’s pretty bad when the story is so outrageous that you don’t know whether to feel pity for her or laugh your ass off. Personally, I laughed my ass off. I’m glad she’s okay now, though. Anyway, she broke her wrist, foot and leg, suffered a torn lip, a crushed nose and a fractured skull… and was out of work for eight weeks. She didn’t require any plastic surgery…apparently.
It is now time for the nomination ceremony. Everything was very predictable and went according to “plan” this week. Shelli nominates John and Da’Vonne, who is her real target. Da’Vonne isn’t shocked and Shelli says that Day has no intention of trusting her so she needs to protect herself in the game. Becky nominates Jason and Steve, both as intended pawns so she can take the opportunity to send Audrey out the backdoor. Meanwhile, Audrey is in the diary room gloating about how she’s so glad she’s not on the block but isn’t sure whether she’s a backdoor target. These houseguests are IDIOTS for not nominating her first! She’s volatile in this game and could ruin everyone’s game!
It is now time for the four nominees to face off in the Battle of the Block competition! I see they’re still sticking with the Ginger Fever theme for this comp. The houseguests walk outside onto a fake TV set, complete with cameras everywhere! In “Give Me Props,” the nominees have a shot list of nine different props. Their job is to point each camera at the correct prop, but the trick is that they don’t know which camera is wired to which screen! Also, I need to note that Audrey is a TERRIBLE host for this comp because she is a major screamer, to the point where she was about to blow out the speakers on my TV! Anyway, there’s another catch to the competition: each nominated duo will be connected together by wearing one giant shirt, so that complicates things just a bit. John is on board with Shelli’s plan for him to throw the competition, but Da’Vonne’s strategy is so horrible that he doesn’t have to put any effort into throwing it. Meanwhile, Jason and Steve’s strategy is pretty smart: they open up two camera lenses at once and make sure the shots are lined up before moving on to the next two cameras. No surprise, Jason and Steve WIN the BOB competition and are safe for the week, while Becky is dethroned as HOH and is just a regular houseguest, eligible for nomination.
