This week has been one of the most boring weeks ever! We need a shake up but it’s not going to happen today. The week has been on lock since Cody won HOH. Our only hope was for Nicole or Donny to win Veto and that never happened. Nicole and Donny sit on the block and it’s an inevitable eviction for poor Donny. Derrick pretends that he is still wrestling with the decision to send Donny to jury but we all know that is a bunch of crap and Derrick is just trying to manipulate both the house and us. The one who really does try in earnest to keep Team America together is Frankie. He sees Christine and Nicole getting closer by the day and it scares him. He goes to the alliance and tries to point out the fact that she is smart, athletic and her social game is very good. She is a triple threat and needs to go home this week. Cody isn’t budging in Derrick’s decision to get rid of Donny.
Team America this week put on a play and they get to find out if they accomplished their mission. Tonight Julie is going to ask one of them if they are a have not what food would they like to have. They have to answer Apple Pie. If Julie grants the request they passed and if she denies they failed. Well she OVERWHELMING denied their request, letting them know that they have failed yet another challenge. Back from commercial Julie tells us that there was a move to flip the house on the commercial break. Was that due to the Team America fail? Eric thinks that the whole Apple Pie situation was yet another way of production trying to manipulate Donny to stay. Do you agree with Eric? Should they have been told of either the success of failure of their mission? With Donny gone is this the end of Team America? I guess we will find out next week.
Everyone was given just a little taste of home tonight. Seeing family members of course brought everyone to tears. Derrick seeing the changes in his daughter was a hard one to watch. The most perplexing was Cody’s family. Something there just doesn’t sit well with me. Cody is bawling like a baby at the site of his family and he can’t wait to get home and mess around with him. I get being a close-knit family but this is too much for me to handle. After a summer of watching a flirtmance with Cody that has the internet a buzz, we finally get to hear from Tim, Christine’s family and Cody’s mom and dad. Christine’s family is not happy with her. Tim isn’t loving it but can have a sense of humor about it and only Cody’s sister sees a problem with any of this. Want to hear a full version of what Tim thinks? Not shockingly Donny was evicted in a unanimous vote, and leaves with his head held high and a tear running down his cheek. I don’t normally get emotional during an eviction. It is a game but something about Donny just tugs at the heart-strings. Yes his social game was not great, he had no alliances and was in bed by midnight. The guy just brought a sense of goodness to the game and I for one am going to miss all the Donnyisms that made writing this blog so much fun. For now our only hope at a shake up is for Nicole to win HOH. The Detonators are just too strong and Victoria will do whatever puppet master Derrick tells her. Everyone was dressed in athletic gear tonight so we know what that means. It’s Endurance. It’s time to slip and slide. This is the best HOH to watch because watching these guy bail and face plant is the highlight of this summer. They are all fighting to fill up their snowman and get their piece of coal out first.
