Celebrity Apprentice is back for another two-hour episode this week, and we are down to thirteen of the original sixteen celebrity contestants! Last week we witnessed Keshia, Kevin and Gilbert get the axe from the Chief Combover, Donald Trump. Which two will follow them this week? Read on and you will find out!
In the first hour, the contestants gather and Trump informs them of their next project: developing a four page fitness editorial to be featured in the Hot & Healthy section of Cosmopolitan and in the Cosmo Body app. They will have to make a presentation to the senior editor of Cosmopolitan. They will be judged on originality, creativity and the overall presentation.
It’s time to pick the project managers. For the Vortex team, Johnny Damon becomes the project manager. For team Infinity, Jamie Anderson becomes the project manager. The winning team’s project manager will receive $20,000 for their charity. The losing team will face one of their own being fired.
Team Infinity gets to work on their task. Jamie throws out the idea of basing their editorial on natural beauty and women who don’t need to wear makeup. Uh, what? This is Cosmopolitan freaking magazine! I don’t think she really grasps the concept. Of course, Brandi threw some shade about this, calling Jamie a mountain chick. The women decide the ad will feature Jamie and Shawn as they are female athletes. But since it is Cosmo, they have to sex it up a little bit. Oh, and Brandi throws some more shade, this time at fellow Housewife Kenya and her booty.
Team Vortex also begins the project. Geraldo throws out the idea of basing theirs on selfies, since they are “all the rage” nowadays. I think he’s just loving the idea of getting to mention his horrendous selfie that got out a year or two ago. I’m not posting that image here either. Google it. Keep the barf bag handy. They decide to go with the slogan “Love your selfie naked.” These guys are idiots. Seriously. Then, there is an uncomfortable moment for the viewers as Johnny and Geraldo get a little too… close.
Back to Infinity, Brandi is really sniping at Kenya and doing what she does best: being a bitchy drama queen/attention whore. Both teams get to work with their modeling/photo shoots for the project. Jamie, as PM, is very indecisive, scattered and seems very timid and unsure in her role. This was very annoying to watch her screw up. I love a good trainwreck, but this was just awful!
What was even more awful to watch was Geraldo taking his clothes off and strutting around in his boxer briefs wielding his pathetic little dumbbells. They say “If you got it, flaunt it” but Geraldo, honey, you don’t got it! Put those clothes the hell back on! Geraldo says that he is “very much at ease” with his body. Newsflash, Geraldo: WE AREN’T!!
OK, it is finally time to present the finished products. The men’s presentation came off really awkward and weird. They even took another selfie during their presentation. OK, we get it! The women were even worse. Their product was not cohesive and Jamie did a HORRIBLE job speaking. This whole shy and unsure thing she has going will not serve her well.
Finally, we are in the boardroom to learn which team wins and which one will be losing another member. We go through the usual schtick from each side arguing why they think they deserve (or don’t deserve) to win. Brandi and Kenya get into it… again. We find out that Team Vortex won the challenge. The guys pulled it off, regardless of the fact that it was a group of older men trying to cater to younger women. As PM, Johnny wins $20,000 for his charity, the Johnny Damon Foundation, which helps wounded warriors get into new homes and anyone else in need. He gets a little emotional speaking about his charity. Congratulations!! The women, as the losers, will be back to the boardroom, where one of them will be fired.
Team Infinity is now in the boardroom for each member to try and fight for their chance to stay in the competition and not be fired. It gets really catty as Brandi throws Kate under the bus, Kate throws her under the bus, and Vivica throws both Brandi and Kate under the bus. Donald asks Jamie whom she is going to bring to the boardroom to face being fired. Then, this stupid fool asks Donald whom he would bring! He says that if she can’t decide, he will just go ahead and fire her. She finally decides to bring Kate and Kenya back to the boardroom with her. Ultimately, Jamie is fired because she is so indecisive. With this, America breathes a collective sigh of relief. She just was not cut out to be a leader and was not a contender to win Celebrity Apprentice.
The second hour begins with both teams gathered at the Central Park Boathouse, a popular wedding venue. Donald says their task is to open their own wedding dress boutique to sell dresses and make as much money as possible for their charities. The winners will be determined on total money earned. The winning PM will keep BOTH teams earnings for their charity.
Donald then switches up the teams to balance things out. The new team Vortex consists of Geraldo, Vivica, Shawn, Sig, Lorenzo and Kate. Team Infinity now consists of Ian, Johnny, Leeza, Brandi, Kenya and Terrell. The project managers chosen for this task are Geraldo (again) for Team Vortex and Ian for Team Infinity.
The Geraldo-Ian rivalry begins to heat up as both men want desperately to best the other and get the other eliminated. Which one will be successful and raise the most money? Read on and you will find out.
Ian gives a heartfelt (albeit nasal) speech to his team about the charity they are playing for: a charity that helps kids with rare and debilitating skin disease that is overlooked and underfunded. Brandi, ever the whiner, bitches about his speech and how he should run for office. This woman is all about bitching and talking about people and can’t just shut up and work together as part of the team.
The teams get to work trying to sell wedding dresses and bring in their donors and the big bucks to solidify their shot at winning the task. Brandi the drama queen, sits apart from the team as she makes her phone calls. She says it’s to avoid drama with Kenya. I say it’s because she is a mentally deficient attention whore. Meanwhile, Kate worries that her donors won’t come through in time for her. So she decides to focus more on providing value for the team instead of bringing in donations.
The teams both are doing whatever they can to bring in people to give money. Ian even brings in the Chippendales men (YUM!) to try and use the sex appeal to draw women in. Meanwhile, Kate finally gets a donor to come through for her and brings in $30,000.
We are back in the boardroom to see which team brought in the most money. Ian brought in the single largest donation of $165,000. But which team collectively brought in the largest amount of money? Trump reveals that there was only a $2,500 difference between the teams in how much each raised. Trump gives the PMs the choice to either have all the $600,000 go to the winning PM or they can each keep their own money regardless if they get fired or not. Both Ian and Geraldo decide that it’s irresponsible to risk the money they raised for their charities so they decide to each keep the money they earned. Infinity raised $292,547 and Vortex raised $294,780 and Geraldo and company are the winners! This means that Ian and the rest of team Infinity will be returning to the boardroom where one of them will be fired.
Ian brings Terrell and Johnny back to the boardroom. As Ian raised so much money, he is really at no risk of being fired. In the end, Terrell is fired because he failed to bring in enough money and basically screwed his team out of winning the task.
