Well, troops, there is some good news! Casting for season three of King of the Nerds has begun! This is a positive sign that things are moving in the right direction for a pick up of the third season! So, Nerd Army, we are not done with our mission and now we have a whole new battle to begin. We have new marching orders!
OPERATION: #KOTNcastme! Our mission now is to assist @KOTNcasting in everyway possible to ensure that their inbox (KingOfTheNerdsCasting@Gmail.com) is flooded with people wanting to be on the season three cast of King of the Nerds. What can you do to help? Follow the steps below!
Follow @KOTNcasting on Twitter to stay current on their efforts to promote the casting call and share the information on all of your online social media sites. As of now, they are only looking for emailed submissions, but have a video ready to go and if you already have a video send it along with your bio. The information for submissions is in step two.
Apply to be on the show if you wish to do so. Follow the instructions on the flyer Tweeted by @KOTNcasting and send a BRIEF summary of yourself along with your name, a phone number and a picture or two if you like. Once you’ve done this, let everyone know by posting on social media. If using Twitter be sure to tag @KOTNcasting and use both #nerdsrule and #KOTNcastme.
Watch our Nerd Army Briefings for more information and tips, which you can do live every Thursday night at 7pm Pacific, 9pm Central and 10pm Eastern and sounds a lot more formal than it is – we pretty much just nerd out about the stuff we’re passionate about and we love interacting with the rest of the troops. And if you have the urge to apply, DO IT! Don’t get hung up on age, don’t doubt your nerdiness and just show those casting agents how awesomely nerdtastic you are! 🙂 Oh! and add this Twibbon to your Twitter pic! I still can’t get it to show up on my Facebook, though, probably my privacy settings.
Also… To keep the meme thing going and breath some new life into everyone, because really, I think we were all getting a little burnt out coming up with ideas of new photoshops to create… We will be issuing weekly meme challenges; the best ones will be featured on the show somehow – you’ll at least get a shout out. We are asking for Doctor Who themed memes in support of the KOTN casting call this week. The example on the left was created by @PJAxel17 and it’s awesome – this is the kind of stuff we want to see! Great job, Paul!
And a round of applause for us all! Though we must remain vigilant in our quest to ensure that King of the Nerds is renewed for a third season, the announcement of a casting call is something to celebrate. Give yourself a hug, because I’m beyond pats on the back at this point to show my gratitude to all of the troops, then get to work on those Doctor Who memes. I’m really excited to see all of the awesome stuff you all create!
