Hello, everyone! My name is Nick, and I am the new addition here at YourRealityRecaps where I will be blogging the previous week’s most ridiculous and noteworthy reality moments from the shows we all love to hate. Now, let’s jump on in.
Last week concluded the tumultuous Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ 3-part reunion show, and it was a magnificent mess for a multitude of reasons. Eric and Jon’s recap will detail that for you, but I am compelled to discuss the infamous Curse of Carlton that left Michael mysteriously ill (for all of one night) and Joyce clutching her pearls through much of the season.
At one point in the reunion, Joyce mentioned to Andy that her family was so rattled by Carlton’s presumed act of sorcery that they had their home cleansed by not only a priest but also a rabbi, you know, for good measure. This was when my vodka tonic went up my nose, which required a full minute and a half to pull myself together. Picturing Joyce stewing over the idea of Carlton dancing outside of her Beverly Hills mansion ‘neath a full moon just to spite her really puts me over the edge. I mean, bring it back down to earth, Joyce. Carlton is no more responsible for your husband’s stomach ache than she is for your poor ability to swim. Outrageous.
Switching gears, let’s talk Flipping Out.
The best moment of the episode was the first five minutes with Jeff, Jenni and the gang sitting around discussing Jenni’s impending labor and the consequences her body (particularly the southern parts) would suffer through in getting the little sucker out. The conversation was crude, hysterical and reality gold. Inappropriate bets were being made, Zoila chimed in with her usual Zoila hilarity, and now would be as good a time as ever to confess my love for Jeff Lewis. I have no idea where it came from, but I’m acknowledging it here and I digress.
Well, I hope you guys enjoyed what I’ve brought to the table this week. I hope to fall into some free time as my schedule opens up and bring you all more content in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to tweet me any outrageous moments from your favorite shows and maybe we can discuss them when we meet again next time!
Until then…
