The Amazing Race Canada is back everybody. After what seems like forever, we finally get to watch Canadians race again. Season 1 was watched by 3.5 million viewers weekly and won two Canadian Screen Awards so I am totally excited to finally be able to reveal details about Season 2.
Olympic Gold Medalist in Skeleton, Jon Montgomery is back this season as host. Season 2 will have your usual friends, lovers, and family teams racing around the world I hope. It hasn’t been revealed if we are taking it outside Canada this year, but with last years amazing reception I can’t seem them not raising the budget. So who are our teams you ask?
Well here they are and I have linked their twitters if they provided them because I love you all so much!
Ryan Steele and Rob Goddard, coworkers from Vancouver, BC
Laura Takahashi and Jackie Skinner, married from Toronto, ON
Jen and Shawn King, married from Halifax, NS
Suki and Jinder Atwal, siblings from Terrace, BC
Cormac and Nicole Foster, mother and son from Winnipeg, MN
Natalie Spooner and Meghan Mikkelson, teammates from Scarborough ON and Winnipeg, MN

Pierre and Michel Forget, twins from Terrebonne, PQ
Mickey Henry and Pete Schmal, best friends from Parry Sound, ON

If you think some of these names sound familiar you aren’t crazy. Natalie and Meghan are members of the Canadian, gold medal winning, Olympic Hockey Team. Rex Harrington is one of the most well-known Canadian ballet dancers and is artist in residence of the National Ballet of Canada and Pierre and Michel are competitive skiers.
These 11 teams will be racing for the grand price of $250 000, free flights business class for 1 year anywhere Air Canada flies AND 2 Chevy Silverado’s. First teams to check in will also be rewarded with prizes at the end of each leg! The Amazing Race Canada will premier Tuesday July 8th on CTV at 8 pm.
