Well Bachelor fans, we are in the home stretch of this season. Only two more weeks left and we were treated with a two night Bachelor extravaganza! From the previews I was expecting tons of fireworks between Juan Pablo and his ladies families. I was very underwhelmed to say the least! That being said lets move on to the hometowns.
First up was Nikki in Kansas City. The met up at a war memorial, then she took him out to a BBQ joint in a gas station. He takes her around the world on extravagant dates and get gets a gas station restaurant! Apparently the ribs in this joint are off the chain and according to Juan Pablo’s blog they were lined up out the door! He even wanted to take home the sauce. After they ate she took him for beers and to ride a mechanical bull, where Juan Pablo admits his “Easter basket” as Jon Richardson would say were crushed. They then move on to her house where he met her parents, two brothers and sister in law. This whole time Nikki has been admitting to us that she loves Juan Pablo but wants to find the right time to tell him. She tells her mom she loves him and tells her dad that she is just so comfortable with him. She says there is something magical between them. Nikki assures her dad that she is comfortable stepping into the step mother role and she has lots of love to give. Juan Pablo has a conversation with Nikki’s dad. He asks what he sees in her and tells Juan Pablo not to propose unless he is 100% sure he wants to marry her. He assures him he would never do that. Nikki’s dad says he trusts her judgement and gives Juan Pablo his blessing. Nikki and Juan Pablo kiss and kiss and kiss some more on the door step and you just want her to spit out I love you but she doesn’t.
Next up Juan Pablo heads to Atlanta to meet up with Andi. I really ended up loving Andi this episode. Mental note: Don’t piss of Andi! She took Juan Pablo to a shooting range, and that girl can handle a gun. She and Juan Pablo had fun and she teased he couldn’t come home unless he got a bulls eye. He got one eventually, and they headed to her house. He met her mom, dad, sister and brother in law. The first topic of conversation was how long it took Juan Pablo to take her on a one on one date. Her father was not impressed. Her father is totally skeptical and Andi can sense is disapproval right away. Andi’s dad doesn’t sugar coat anything. He feels they aren’t in love, that they are just infatuated with each other. He really can’t get past the fact he is dating three other girls. Juan Pablo managed to charm the pants off Andi’s mom, telling her he finds Andi beautiful and smart. He then shows off their dance moves, and ends up even dancing with her mother. She takes the bait hook, line and sinker. Andi’s sister says she just doesn’t think he is the one for her and that upsets Andi a bit.. Juan Pablo then sits down with Hy, Andi’s dad. I was expecting drama!!! Hy asks him “Why did you go on the show?” Juan Pablo tries to explain himself, but I think this is where the language barrier is an issue.. Juan Pablo said he thought that it would be a good idea because the girls would know his situation, being a dad, and that since they know that going in, it wouldn’t be an issue that they’d have to get past. Andi’s dad isn’t liking that answer saying you don’t fit the situation then find love, you need to be in love and make the situation work. When Juan Pablo asks for his blessing he refuses to give it until he isn’t dating 3 other girls. Andi tells her father that she is willing to risk the heartbreak to see where this goes. I really thought there would be more firework but Juan Pablo left without incident.
Juan Pablo then heads over to Renee’s in Sarasota. This hometown was a snorefest. They met up in a park where they talk about how much Renee misses Ben. She then takes him to meet Ben before his baseball game. Ben looked pretty awkward, but Juan Pablo was pretty sweet with him. They watched his game and then went to her parent’s house. It was all very nicey nice. They likes Juan Pablo, Juan Pablo liked them. zzzzzzzzzzz wake me up when it’s over. Renee did tell her mom she loved him, but he ended up leaving her house with Renee not telling him.
The most dramatic of all hometowns happened with Claire’s family in Sacramento. They started off in a park feeding the geese, where she laid on the dead daddy stories thick. Part of me thinks she brings these out just so he’ll pity her and it drives me crazy!!!! They end up at her house where poor Juan Pablo ends up entering the estrogen ocean. He meets her mother, 4 sisters and her brother in law. Clare talks to her sister Madeline, and her sister says she is glowing and Clare told her if he proposed today she would say yes. Juan Pablo has some conversation about how he feels for Clare with two of her sisters. Then Clare tries to talk with her mother. Here is where the fireworks begin! Clare’s sister Laura is with them and every time she tries to ask her mom for her blessing Laura is up and interrupting. She accuses Clare of manipulating her mom and Clare is mad. Laura seems to me like the wicked step sister that is jealous that Clare is getting all the attention. Finally Laura leaves them to talk (kind of) She is pacing like a shark within earshot, and just pops up every time she feels like she doesn’t like the conversation. Juan Pablo then goes to talk to Mom and Laura will NOT leave her mom’s side and Clare is understandably freaking out. Juan Pablo tells her its OK, he’ll be fine and Clare stands down. At some point Laura finally leaves Juan Pablo and Mom alone. This is the most relaxed I saw him all night. He was speaking Spanish with her mom. They had a good conversation and Juan Pablo is released unharmed by the wicked step sister. I am not a Clare fan, but I felt so bad for her. Laura is a head case.
The rose ceremony came in. The brought in the girls one by one. First Clare, the Nikki. The tension is still there til Andi comes in and Nikki and her giggle a bit. It was short and sweet this week. Renee was sent home. I think he made a mistake. Renee seems the best fit for him. I know he was deciding between him and Andi. I think he made the wrong choice.
We now move to day two of our The Bachelor two parter. They bring us to beautiful St. Lucia for the overnight dates. First girl to get a date is Clare, and they are back in the water. I am surprised Juan Pablo doesn’t have gills yet, the amount of time that guy is in water. They take a little boat to a yacht and spend the day swimming and making out. Clare and Juan Pablo have a discussion about Camila or at least as much talk as you can have with Juan Pablo before the says “Eeees OK” and kisses you. Clare is back and forth on the Fantasy Suite because she doesn’t want Camila to get the wrong impression, but at this point Juan Pablo is not thinking with the appropriate head and convinces Clare to say YES. While having conversation in the Fantasy Suite, Clare finally says she is loving falling in love with him. Then they move to the hot tub and make out some more until they tell the camera crews to beat it!!!
Andi was next in line. They walk around this little village together. The chemistry between them is light and easy and they are having fun trying food and talking to the locals. They learn to play the steel drums. I think Juan Pablo creeped out some little kids when he started offering food t them. Hello Dad….would like it if strangers were giving Camila food. I think not! At some point a soccer ball shows up and they are playing soccer with the kids and their parents. So strange but whatever. It is The Bachelor. He then takes her through the jungle to a waterfall. Shocker everyone…..they end up back in the water. At dinner he said he was concerned about how during her hometown she said she so badly wanted to fall in love. He was afraid she was trying to force it. She says that she wasn’t trying to force anything and he said Eees OK. She asks him if he thinks she’ll be a good mom and his response was I don’t know. What the hell. You are one week away from proposing and you don’t know. He says the Fantasy Suite will tell him that. I don’t get how unless you are taking her to a daycare for the evening. The morning after Juan Pablo is gushing about how great it went, he thinks Andi could be the one yadda yadda yadda, Then they talk to Andi. Holy 180 degree turn in stories. She says she couldn’t wait to get out of there, it was a horrible experience. If he thinks it went well then he’s crazy. I have never seen such a thing the day after an overnight date. It was AMAZING!!!!
Nikki is given the last date of the week. He takes her horseback riding and they have a picnic on the beach. They talk about her father had said not to propose unless he was 100% sure. He tells Nikki he isn’t sure yet. This guy really knows how to make a gal feel special I tell ya. They end up back in the Fantasy Suite, and Nikki tells him she loves him. Our charmers response, “I did not know that” I can’t anymore…just done with this guy ARGH!!! All he can tell the producers is how much he loves to kiss her. In my opinion he just just not where he needs to be in relation to where other bachelors were at, this point in the process. This whole time I have not heard him say I am falling in love, or I love this girl. It has always been this girl will fit in my family. Are you looking for a wife or a Nanny Juan Pablo. I am confused.
Who is not confused is Andi. She is now opening up and revealing her night in the fantasy suite. She says every time she tried to tell him a story or reveal something about herself he would flip it back to him and his stories, name dropping and just not letting her speak. She felt he didn’t care to know anything about her (Fun Fact contestant Lauren S tweeted during her 4 weeks there he only ever asked her 1 question about herself) Andi said she just didn’t feel he could be the one. Juan Pablo and Chris Harrison meet up for deliberations before the rose ceremony. Juan Pablo tells Chris, I like these girls. Now I feel Chris is getting a bit frustrated with Juan Pablo. He has done this a time or two and knows how they should be feeling and “in like” is not it. He tells him the girls have video messages for him and leaves him alone to watch. Nikki and Clare’s are all sunshine and rainbows. They tell him they love him and it’s been an incredible journey. Neither of them have realized they have yet to have a conversation of substance with him.
Andi starts of saying nice things about the beginning of the journey, then flips the script to I have so much to say but it needs to be done in person. Cue Andi walking up and cue Juan Pablo turning from man to superdouche in about 30 seconds. Andi is telling him how she doesn’t think he listens to her, he knows nothing about her. She says she doesn’t think that he is the one for her. All he can say is It’s OK It’s OK. She is trying to get a point across. No it’s not OK, She gave up work, friends, weddings to be here and him not listening to her or trying to even find out a bit about her is NOT OK. He doesn’t get it. It’s like talking to a rock. She told him every time she tried to tell him something he brought the conversation back to him and again he said It’s OK. She lets him know that whenever he says it’s OK it comes off as dismissive and annoying. He blames his English again. Then Andi brings up how he talked about
Clare’s overnight date with her in the Fantasy Suite. His response was “Well you know I have three dates” Well yes she did but you don’t need to tell her about them. Why don’t you just bang Clare right in front of her. Andi also brings up how our charming Juan Pablo told her that she was there by default. DEFAULT!!!!!! The words every girl wants to hear. What an ass. He says he never said that word, it’s not part of his vocabulary. He doesn’t even know what it means. Of course there are no cameras to prove anything but I believe Andi. She tells him she is leaving and he shows no emotion. A day ago he was saying she could be the one, now she says she’s done and his response is That’s fine! You see he switched from It’s OK to That’s fine when she told him it was annoying. So now Andi is gone and Juan Pablo goes to the rose ceremony. Nikki and Clare seem to be confused but only Nikki cares that Andi is gone. They all get their roses and all is right in their worlds.

We were previewed an explosive women tell all and I can’t wait! Andi is my new hero and I am so excited to hear what she has to say next week, and to hear how Juan Pablo defends himself!!! See y’all then!!!!
