Well Bachelor Nation we did it! We sat through what was one of the most frustrating and confusing seasons of The Bachelor that we have had in a very long time. There is a lot to recap so let’s get at it. The first date of the night is Clare meeting Juan Pablo’s family. Both girls get to meet his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, his cousin, his daughter and his niece. Clare is gushing that seeing Juan Pablo with Camila made him even sexier then he already was. If you ask me Camila was not to impressed by Clare and couldn’t wait to get away. Clare first sits down with Juan Pablo’s mom. She tells her that Juan Pablo just gets her. She also asks if there is anything in Juan Pablo’s personality that she should know that he wouldn’t tell her. Right here there is a red flag. You don’t know enough about his personality that you need to ask his mom. She says he is very hyperactive, and he can be rude. His own mother is saying that he is rude. Hello Clare! Wake up honey you can be honest without being rude. Juan Pablo’s dad was very nice to her. He told her that he would be a father to her no matter what. We know Clare has some daddy issues so that was all she needed to hear. She was asked if she was in love and she answer I am falling in love. If you are at the final two you should be there by now Clare and the fact that you’re not you should trust. Juan Pablo was asked how he felt about Clare. He answer “very good”. His cousin told him she is willing to stay when things get rough. His family is confirming he is a jerk and he needs to find a girl who is willing to deal with it. Clare leaves feeling her love is confirmed.
Nikki is up to bat next. Juan Pablo is excited to see her and tells her he feels “very good” about her. Nikki tells him she is blessed to be part of this. Nikki sits down with Juan Pablo’s dad and he asks her how he feels about him being a father. She tells him that Camila has made him who he is and she wants to have a relationship with her. His own father tells him that he is not an easy guy, he focuses on what he wants and is a bit of a know it all. When you have the guys dad ragging on him you need to open your eyes! Nikki sits with his mother next. His mom asks Nikki what her and Juan Pablo would do on weekend. Nikki says that she knows weekends are his time with Camila so it would be family things like going to the park and swimming and playing games. His mom says he is a simple guy and that he basically just sits home and watches TV. Is she OK with that. When Nikki asked if she thought he was ready for marriage she answered with pretty sure. I am screaming at my TV at this point for both these girls to run for their lives. Neither do and Nikki tells Juan Pablo’s mom she loves him. When she speaks to his cousin his question to her is “How much fighting can you take?” What the heck. He is a terrible wing man, his whole family are terrible wing men. She answers that she isn’t scared to fight, that every relationship does it. Nikki’s interaction with Juan Pablo’s family seems much more natural and easy than Clare’s did.
Clare gets her last one on one with our Bachelor. He brings her on a helicopter ride. Once they landed Clare is upset. In the helicopter they had some time alone, no camera’s no audio, no producers. Juan Pablo leaned over and whispered something in her ear she reports. But it wasn’t sweet nothings. From reports online she asked if he loved her and his answer was I love bleeping you. Feel free to fill in the bleep. Clare is being classy and not revealing what was said, but she did use the words hooking up in her interview. Now here is my take. If you have time alone the things said in that time are way more telling of how he feels then the things on camera. Again I say Run Clare Run! Clare is in her hotel crying, who wouldn’t be? Juan Pablo comes over for the evening portion of the date and Clare wouldn’t kiss him. All he did was asked for a besito over and over again. She wants to talk he said. Which with this guy is like talking to a rock, so good luck Clare. She tells him they don’t know each other well enough, his responds “is this why you won’t kiss me?” Juan Pablo is so defensive. This is how he gets every time someone wants to do more than make out. He talks circles around her and at one point is blaming her for him wanting to kiss her because she is the one that kissed him first night one. What a catch this guy is! He manages to confuse her enough she thinks everything is OK and the end up making out, and all is good in Clare’s eyes.
Nikki’s one on one date is next and Juan Pablo brings her on a boat. Nikki confesses to the cameras all that is missing is him telling her how he feels, and that she is worried he can’t tell her how he feels. Very little conversation happens on the boat. Mostly kissing. When Juan Pablo comes over later that evening they sit and talk. True to Juan Pablo form he reassure her that at then end of this it’s all going to be OK. Nikki has a gift for him. She gives him a picture taken of them kissing on horseback and writes a heart-felt letter laying all her cards on the table. She is waiting for him to say something, anything back to her and she gets nothing. I get that at this point in the show, they aren’t allowed to say I love you. It ruins the suspense for us and for the women. You don’t want them too confident right? But my God man, say something. She tells him she loves him, he kisses her and says “I’ll see you tomorrow” She walks him to the door with a tear flowing down her face and it doesn’t even register with him. She collapses into a heap of tears in her room after the door closes. Not the way you want to be spending the evening before you’re possible engagement I would think.
The moment we have all been waiting for has arrived. Who will Juan Pablo pick to be his bride? Will he pick anyone? There are always a few tells as to who is not getting the final rose. Normally the girl with the second one on one is the chosen. So my bet was Nikki going into the rose ceremony. Sure 
enough Clare is shown getting ready first and off she goes to see Juan Pablo on her own boat. He is talking and she is looking hopeful. You actually see the moment where she realized this isn’t going to end the way she wants. It’s pretty heart breaking to watch. Anyone following my blogs this season knows I am not a Clare fan, but tonight I fell in love with her. After he tells her she is not the one, she wastes no time getting out of there, leaving him just standing alone. She then stops turns around and just lays it on him, she let him know what a sorry excuse for a man he really is. Do you think he cared? No. Every other bachelor has been in tears sending home the second place girl because even though they weren’t the one, they still cared that they were breaking their heart into a million little pieces. Not our guy Juan Pablo though. He comments “Whoo I’m glad I didn’t pick her” as she walks away. Such a prince.
Nikki arrives on her boat, and meets up with Juan Pablo. He tells her he likes her a lot. Just what every girl wants to hear when they might be getting 
engaged. He brought up how her dad had said don’t propose unless you are 100% sure. Juan Pablo tells her “I have a ring in my pocket but I am not going to use it” Nikki looks confused. He tells her that he isn’t ready to propose but he also isn’t ready to let her go, and will she accept his final rose. After a long pause she says yes and they kiss. He basically just asked her to be his girlfriend and she looks thrilled. If I didn’t love my TV so much it would have been out the window. Nikki my God girl, this is not going to last run fast and run far.
We go right into the After the Final Rose. The best part of this evening is all the alums they had sitting in the audience. Sean and Catherine were there, 
Des and Chris, Sharleen, Kelly, Kat and a few others all sitting in the wings just waiting to give ole JP the stink eye. Clare is up first. She looked great, she sounded even better. No crying from this girl and I was so happy to see it. She tells Chris he was not the man she thought he was, that she probably should have left after the date in St. Lucia but what’s done is done. She is still not revealing exactly what was said in that helicopter but I think we all know by now. She wanted no part of seeing him again, so Chris bought him out alone to talk about Clare. What did Juan Pablo say about Clare. Not much. He is on the defensive again, he said he had no regrets. Juan Pablo is rambling like he does often saying nothing and to move along the show, Chris interrupts and he so rudely says “Can I talk now?” The audience cringes and Chris ends it with “So then no regrets?” Juan Pablo’s reply “It’s fine” Somewhere Andi is hurling things through the air I am sure!
Nikki is brought out on stage alone. She reveals that yes they are still in a relationship, and it was hard to hide it. She doesn’t know if Juan Pablo is in love because he hasn’t said it yet, but actions speak louder than words and she know he cares about her or he wouldn’t be with her still. He is too honest to waste time like that. Juan Pablo is brought out on stage and they share a kiss that was polite. Chris asked if he loved her and he said he doesn’t want to answer that. WHAT! This guy is killing me, and ex-bachelor Sean as well it seems. The camera pans over and he has his head tilted to one side looking appalled and confused all at the same time. Catherine is beside him looking not so happy with Juan Pablo. Every time Chris asks a question Juan Pablo refuses to answer. All he can say is he likes her a lot and they are happy. The show is over and now him and Nikki are in their private time. Chris thinks the whole interview is awkward because he can’t have a conversation. He asks Nikki how long she will give him to say he loves her. She says that as long as everything feels right then she’ll stay and once it doesn’t she is out! Not really a ringing endorsement of love, but it’s all Chris is gonna get. I am glad that Nikki is happy. I hope that if this is what SHE wants that it works out her. Congratulations to the happy couple.
The best part of night was after the commercial break Chris come back and say OK now that you’ve showered that one-off. I just about died laughing. Chris isn’t even trying to hide his distaste for Juan Pablo anymore and I 
love it! He declares he is OK moving on and now it’s time to announce our bachelorette for next season.It is none other than Andi! I am so happy. She is not going to take crap from anyone. Remember all applying Bachelors, she girl knows how to handle a gun! I was excited to see Juan Pablo as the bachelor this season, I really liked him on Des’s season but I was really disappointed at how this all turned out. From the homophobic slurs, to the disrespect he had for the girls and the show. It may take a few showers to shower off this season, but I can’t wait to get on with The Bachelorette and watch Andi on her journey to find love.
