Hello Bravo Fans! I am going to be creating short vlogs for The Real Housewives of New York all season long! So come watch the shows live and tweet with me, then come here to get my “reactions”. I am so excited to cover this season for you.
So let me know what you think in the comments section below! Oh, and if you want a more in depth recap then see what Zach has to say as he breaks down the episode in full detail on his blog here.

In the late 1980s-90s, New Yorkers started buying property in the Berkshires and Vermont with large acreage. The Berkshires started fine arts programs–dance, music, and theater–during the summer months. It’s an area with mountains, lakes, rivers, and great fall foliage along the Appalachians. It’s outdoorsy and more geared for outdoor types–not Ramona.
When Ramona boasts about the Hamptons, she’s trying to show she is wealthier. It is pretty déclassé of her, but she is from the nouveau riche set and needs to talk about money. Jonathan, in contrast, looks and acts as if he has always had money which means he and Heather have nothing to prove.
In summary, Ramona’s comments are meant to provoke the old money v. new money controversy, Jon. Ramona is desperately trying to pretend she’s from old money, but everything about her screams new money. Would anyone from old money talk about having a place in the Hamptons so much? I’m sure it pales in comparison to their châteaux in France….#richpeopleproblems.
Hope it helped. Love your vlogs, Jon.
P.S. I hope it sounded like LuAnn.
